So I've wandered around several places already. Most of them are around Tokyo, so they're very urban, big-city, tall buildings, wide streets sort of places, yes? I've even walked from one ward to another (about a couple miles or so distance).
And I've never.
Not even once.
Seen a gas station or anything that looks like one. Y'know? Like, in the US, there's a gas station at least every other other street. And especially in an area that has a lot of traffic, they have to be fairly easy to find. Even though the trains are super convenient here, people still drive cars. And it's not sparse either, that can be seen by the huge intersections in these populated areas.

This picture was unnecessarily difficult to take. |
So then what? Do they have to go outside of the city to fill up their gas tank? What if they forget, and the empty tank light starts flashing in their faces while in the middle of the city? Or are the gas stations cleverly and secretly hidden? Do you actually have to go to a parking garage, down a special elevator, drive under a building, and then refill your gas tank there? Or are all cars here actually completely electric, and so gas stations are obsolete and purely unnecessary? Do the cars actually take energy from its occupants, which is why you hardly ever see anyone driving by themselves???
Basically, what this all boils down to is
I'M SO CURIOUS AS TO WHAT JAPANESE GAS STATIONS LOOK LIKE.
... What, you aren't?
From what I've seen in footage, they look normal. OH OH! If you can find Shingo, ask him if I can have his hat! DO IT!
ReplyDeleteI WILL FIND SHINGO AMONG THE MASSES.
DeleteAlso, that doesn't answer the original question. *Where* are all the gas stations located??
